How do we begin the process of receiving care?

A representative from Martha’s Adult Care will meet with the client and their loved ones to discuss the type and extent of care needed and then provide a free assessment.

Are your services covered by insurance?

At this time, our services are not covered by medical insurance, however many long-term care insurance policies will reimburse some or all of the cost, depending on your individual policy. Our services are also tax-deductible.

Are weekends charged at a higher rate?

We charge the same affordable rate seven days a week.

Are holidays charged at a higher rate?

Certain holidays are charged at time and a half rates. These include New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Can you provide care immediately?

At Martha’s Adult Care, we do our best to accommodate immediate needs, but ask that you give advance notice for start of care, special appointments and extended care hours.

What are the costs for your services?

Costs are calculated according to individual care plans and will be discussed during the initial assessment.

How do you bill your services?

Depending on the number of care hours provided, we bill weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Payments are due upon receipt of invoice.

What is your plan for emergency preparedness?

In life threatening situations, call the Emergency Medical Services number (911).

Adverse Conditions: During inclement weather we will make every effort to continue services. However, the safety of our staff must be considered. When roads are too dangerous to travel, our staff will, if possible, contact you by phone to let you know that they are unable to make your visit that day.
